blablaType Acceptable Use Policy

2026-06-13

blablaType helps you dictate text, translate speech, and transcribe audio and video. This policy describes what you must not do with the service. It supplements the Terms of Service and applies to every part of the service: the desktop app for Windows, the web dictation widget on the site's home page, file transcription, and the website itself.

By using the service, you agree to follow this policy. If an action is not named here explicitly but is essentially the same as one of the listed prohibitions, it also counts as a violation.

If you notice another user violating this policy, write to support@blablatype.app.

General principle

blablaType is meant for lawful personal and work tasks: dictating text, translating speech, transcribing a recording. You alone are responsible for what you say into the microphone, which files you upload for transcription, and how you use the resulting text.

The service processes content automatically and does not review it in advance. This does not remove your obligations: responsibility for the content and for the legality of processing it rests with you, not with blablaType.

Illegal content and illegal use

You must not use the service to create, process, translate, or transcribe content that violates the law that applies to you. This includes, among other things: child sexual abuse material, calls to violence, content of terrorist organizations, instructions for committing crimes, and fraudulent schemes.

You must not use the service as a tool for committing offenses: preparing deception, extortion, harassing specific people, or spreading knowingly false information with the intent to cause harm.

If content is legal in one country but illegal where you are located, or where the person whose rights it affects is located, follow the stricter requirement.

Other people's rights and recording other people's speech

You must not violate the rights of other people and companies: copyright and related rights, trademark rights, the right to privacy, and the rights to a person's image and voice. By uploading a file for transcription, you confirm that you have the right to process that recording.

A separate point about recording conversations. In many countries, recording someone else's speech without the participants' consent is restricted or prohibited by law. Before transcribing a call, a meeting, a lecture, or any recording with other people's voices, make sure you have obtained the necessary consents or that the recording is lawful under the rules of your jurisdiction. blablaType does not check whether consents exist: that is entirely your responsibility.

You must not use the service to deanonymize people, track them, or collect personal data without a lawful basis.

Spam and bulk messaging

You must not use the service to produce spam: bulk unsolicited messages, template mailings sent without the recipients' consent, fake comments and reviews, or texts for phishing and social engineering.

You must not pass off texts created with the service as messages from other people or organizations with the intent to mislead the recipient.

Malicious activity and service security

You must not interfere with the operation of the service: attempt to gain unauthorized access to servers, other users' accounts, or internal interfaces, search for and exploit vulnerabilities without our explicit permission, or disrupt the infrastructure with load, malicious traffic, or by any other means.

You must not distribute malware through the service or with its help, and you must not decompile, modify, or reverse engineer the desktop app, except where the law explicitly allows it.

If you discover a vulnerability, do not use it. Report it to support@blablatype.app and we will look into it.

Quotas, limits, and automated abuse

The plans and free features of the service are designed for fair use by one person. You must not circumvent quotas and limits: create multiple accounts to get repeated free trials or free transcription minutes, reset or spoof device identifiers, or manipulate anonymous session tokens to get more free volume than you are entitled to.

Automated abuse is prohibited: accessing the service's servers with scripts, bots, or other programs that bypass the official app and website, scraping or reverse engineering our APIs, or automatically sending audio or requests in order to use the service as a free or cheap recognition and translation engine.

We may apply technical limits on the frequency and volume of requests. Attempts to bypass them count as a violation of this policy.

Resale and sharing access

Your subscription and transcription balance are tied to your account and are intended for your personal use. You must not resell access to the service, rent out your account, share your credentials with third parties, or embed the service into your own products or services and offer its features to your customers.

If you need access for a team or an integration into your own product, write to support@blablatype.app: we will discuss whether it is possible and on what terms.

Consequences of violations

Our response matches the severity of the violation. For a minor or apparently unintentional violation, we usually start by sending a warning to the account email and asking you to stop the prohibited activity.

For a serious, repeated, or intentional violation, we may restrict individual features, suspend or block the account, or refuse service without prior warning. Illegal content and attacks on the infrastructure are blocked immediately.

Being blocked for violating this policy does not entitle you to a refund for the paid period, unless the law requires otherwise. For what happens to account data when an account is blocked, see the Privacy Policy. Where the law requires it, we may pass information about the violation to the competent authorities.

How to report a violation

If you believe that someone is using blablaType in violation of this policy, or that your rights have been violated with the help of the service, write to support@blablatype.app. Describe what happened and attach evidence if you have it: this helps us resolve the matter faster.

We review every report and respond on the merits. If your question concerns personal data, write to privacy@blablatype.app.

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always published on this page, with the date of the last update shown at the top. We will additionally announce significant changes to users with an account.
