blablaType Refund Policy
2026-07-09
This page explains how to cancel a blablaType subscription and how to get your money back for a Pro or Max subscription payment. We wrote these rules to be short and honest, with no hidden terms.
Payments are processed by our payment provider Paddle (merchant of record), and refunds are issued through it. Free features (the free plan and the dictation web widget on the site) require no payment, so this policy does not apply to them.
Try before you pay
We set things up so you never have to pay blind. The desktop app has a free plan that does not expire and needs no bank card: dictation in every Windows app, with 60 minutes of recognised speech a month. The dictation web widget on the site's home page is completely free.
So we expect that by the time you pay, you already understand how the product works and whether it suits you. This does not limit your refund rights described below.
Cancelling your subscription
You can cancel a Pro or Max subscription at any time. After cancellation, you keep access to the paid features until the end of the current paid period, and no further charges are made, after which the account returns to the free plan.
Cancellation by itself does not mean a refund of a payment that has already been charged. A refund is requested separately under the rules in the next section.
Refund of a subscription payment
You can request a refund of a subscription payment within 14 days of the charge, provided that the paid period has not been substantially used.
"Not substantially used" means that after the charge you did not use the paid features of the service, or used them only to a minor extent. We assess this based on the actual usage of your account during the paid period. If you actively used the service for a significant part of the period, no refund is provided for that period.
File transcription
File transcription (upload an audio or video file and get the text back) is a separate feature that is still in the works. It is not available for purchase yet, so there is no transcription balance to refund.
When file transcription launches, its pricing and refund terms will be announced here. For now, blablaType is live voice dictation in any app, covered by the subscription refund rules above.
What is not refundable
The following are not refundable: subscription payments where the paid period has been substantially used; payments for which the request was submitted more than 14 days after the charge.
If your situation is exceptional (for example, a technical failure on our side prevented you from using the paid service), write to us: we review such requests individually. Mandatory consumer protection laws of your country take priority if they give you more rights than this policy.
How to request a refund
Send an email to support@blablatype.app from the email address your account is registered to, or include that address in the email. Without a link to your account we will not be able to locate the payment.
In the email, specify which subscription payment you want refunded and the approximate date of the charge. If you have an order number or a receipt from the payment provider, attach them: this speeds up verification.
Timing and method of refund
We review requests within a reasonable time and communicate the decision by reply to the address the request came from.
An approved refund is issued to the same payment method used for the original payment, through the payment provider Paddle. How long the money takes to arrive after approval depends on the payment provider and your bank.
Abuse of this policy
This refund policy is intended for honest use. Abuse is grounds for refusing a refund: for example, repeated cycles of paying, actively using the service, then requesting a refund; attempts to refund payments for services actually used; or providing false information.
If you have questions about this policy or about a specific payment, write to support@blablatype.app.
